FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Public Utility District board of directors accepted a check for $80,724 at the March 25 meeting from Melody McDonald, a representative of the Joint Powers Insurance Authority.
The money is a “pay back,” McDonald said, explaining that the Insurance Authority distributes refunds when the costs for insurance coverage were less than anticipated. “That means top-notch district employees averted injuries, and other costly insurance claims were avoided.”
