In September, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors directed county staff to investigate the possibility of amending the county’s billboard ordinance to allow light-emitting diode displays on billboards in unincorporated San Diego County.
The Advance Planning Division of the county’s Department of Planning and Development Services submitted its report on Jan. 31, and since the document wasn’t placed on the agenda for any of the next three Board of Supervisors land use meetings a change is looking doubtful.
