Ida Walls

Ida Walls, a long-time resident of Fallbrook, passed away suddenly on April 2, 2013. She was born in Kohala, Hawaii on May 2, 1932. After graduation, Ida joined the U.S. Marine Corps. She met her husband of 62 years, Robert (Bob), when she was a sergeant stationed at North Island, Calif. Their long marriage started with a tiny apartment and a big, new ‘51 Chevy convertible.

Highly motivated and energetic, Ida genuinely enjoyed working. Following military service, she worked at Camp Pendleton until her retirement as base property officer. Her interests then took a new direction, and she worked...
