St. Peter's takes second place at academic decathlon

FALLBROOK – St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School of Fallbrook took home multiple awards at the 17th Annual Academic Decathlon Competition for the Diocese of San Diego, held at Mater Dei Catholic High School.

The St. Peter’s team won second place overall in the Super Quiz competition which is the premier event consisting of 10 students from each school answering 50 questions in five different categories. In addition, two students placed sixth in the individual events for Literature and Fine Arts.

Members of the St. Peter’s team included Sarah Ward, Madeleine Siewert, Lauren Mackey, Zarina Berens, Adriana Little, Natalia Toliver, Sarah Mackey, Rachel Kendrick, Kendra Donoghue and Jackson Taitano.
