FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Union Elementary School District assistant superintendent Dennis Bixler presented Fran Little and Elva Hawkins as employees of the month to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook at a recent weekly meeting.
Little has been with the district since 2006 and has served as a campus supervisor since 2007. She was recognized as “an extremely dedicated, compassionate, and loyal staff member at Potter who has the ability to connect with students, build strong relationships, and to inspire them.”
Hawkins has been teaching in the district since 2001 and is presently located at Live Oak School. She was recognized “for going above and beyond the call of duty in enhancing and creating the ideal bi-literate, bilingual classroom.” Bixler said, “She always looks for a more exciting way to engage her students and make learning fun. She has also been instrumental in developing standards-based assessments for the dual language teachers in K-3.”
The employee of the month program is part of the ongoing effort by Fallbrook Rotary to achieve, maintain and reward excellence in the employees of the Fallbrook school system. For more information, visit http://www.fallbrookrotary.org.
