TEMECULA - A fire that charred 10 acres of brush east of Vail Lake in Temecula may have been sparked by youths blowing up explosives mixed in plastic bowls.
No injuries were reported during the Saturday night fire. The Temecula Patch reported that CHP officers suspected that youths may have been shooting at a Tupperware container holding homemade explosives.
The fire was two miles east of Vail Lake, on Cleveland National Forest land. Rangers were not available to comment today.
Riverside County firefighters helped douse the flames, spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said....
