20-year-old Oceanside woman fatally crashes in Pauma Valley

PAUMA VALLEY - A 20-year-old Oceanside woman whose car veered off a curving highway in Pauma Valley and crashed into a rock wall was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, authorities said today.

The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was driving a 2005 Honda Civic east on state Route 76, east of Poomacha Road, about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, when she crashed, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office and the California Highway Patrol.
