Learn about goats, making cheese at Sept. 5 lecture

FALLBROOK – Members of the public can learn about the joy of raising goats and ways to easily make cheese at a free lecture by Don Axe at the Fallbrook Library on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m.

Axe, of Valley View Farm in Spring Valley, will speak about goat care, feeding, health management, proper housing, birthing, milking, and socialization. The session will also present the basics of making three different cheeses that are tasty and easy to make. At the end of the lecture, participants will be able to taste some handmade goat cheeses.
