The meter at the delivery point where the San Diego County Water Authority takes over distribution from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California was rescaled May 16.
The meter is for MWD’s San Diego 7 connection within the Fallbrook Public Utility District boundaries and approximately six miles south of the border of San Diego County and Riverside County. The Venturi meter, which was activated in October 1971, has a length of 34 feet, a throat diameter of 45 inches, and a pipe diameter of 88 inches.
