'Day for Kids' provides fun, meaningful time for adults, youth

FALLBROOK – Boys & Girls Clubs of North County is gearing up to celebrate its annual ‘Day for Kids,’ (BGC Day for Kids) on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon to 4 p.m., an event highlighting the critical needs of children in the community.

Today, too many youth are facing serious issues that can deprive them of a happy, healthy childhood and negatively impact their future. Day for Kids celebrates the life changing work taking place at Boys & Girls Clubs each day by encouraging adults to spend meaningful time with young people and engage in fun and active play.

This year’s BGC Day for Kids will be celebrated with thousands of parents and kids participating in an event at the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. The event is open to the public.

Event activities and treats will include face painting, relay games, ‘Minute to Win It’ games, swimming pool, cotton candy, snow cones, belly bumpers, photo booth and a ‘Duck Derby’ with great prizes such as a family stay in Las Vegas.

The event will take place at 445 East Ivy Street. For more information, call (760) 728-5871 or visit http://www.bgcnorthcounty.org or http://www.DayforKids.org.
