Gas Prices Begin to Increase

RIVERSIDE - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire recorded its largest daily increase since June 22 today, rising 2.8 cents to $3.942.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 12 times in 14 days, increasing 12.7 cents, including 2.1 cents on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 10.6 cents more than one week ago and 1.5 cents higher than one month ago but 19.8 cents below what it was one year ago, mainly thanks to a stretch of 29 decreases in 30 days that ende...
