Fallbrook has lost a fine resident

A very popular Fallbrook resident and our friend John Stotz died Sept. 14, 2013. He has been the manager of Ingold Field Sports Park for many years, a coach and personal trainer to many.

John was trimming branches in his yard Saturday, Sept. 14, when a branch broke, causing him to fall off his ladder and onto his head about 15 feet below.

His wife performed CPR until paramedics arrived and he was taken by medical helicopter to Palomar where they fought hard to try to save his life. Unfortunately he lost too much blood from serious head trauma and did not survive.
