Body of 43-year-old man found in Hemet

HEMET - The body of a 43-year-old man has been found at a Hemet street corner, and the Riverside County Sheriff's murder detectives investigated the case today.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched at 11 p.m. Thursday to the corner of Chambers Avenue and Soboba Street where Kevin Johnson, 43, was found dead, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Jim Erickson said.

The apparent murder was disclosed Friday night, and deputies did not say why the information was delayed more than a day. No further details were released, as Erickson said investigators with the sheriff's homicide unit arrived at the scene...
