LAKE ELSINORE - A Lake Elsinore man who had parked his trailer on a road was arrested for alleged drug violations and remained behind bars today.
A sheriff's deputy on patrol Thursday afternoon spotted a travel trailer parked in the 14500 block of Temescal Canyon Road, and decided -- in light of recent complaints about illegal activity in the area -- to check if the driver had permission to be there, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. David Cardoza said.
The driver, Robert Lee Hansen, 61, allegedly showed signs of being under the influence of drugs. He was arrested for suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, two guns and live ammunition, Cardoza said.
Hansen remained in custody today in lieu of $25,000 bail, jail records showed.
