Poison is not the answer!

I am tired of seeing ads from landscaping companies that promise to “Get your Gophers.” Poison is not only cruel and in-humane for the rodents, but it affects us as well by getting into other animals like dogs, cats and birds of prey.

A simple, cheap and effective way to control rodents is to install an owl nesting box. It can be as simple as a plain wooden box sitting high in a tree. There are even companies that install them onto a tall metal pole.
