Ed Freeman, who was training at the San Luis Rey Downs Thoroughbred Training Center before San Luis Rey Downs closed for renovation, had horses who finished first and second in the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Stakes on the third day of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club meet and closed out his Del Mar season with a third-place finish on the meet’s third-to-last day.
“Overall it was very good,” Freeman said of the meet.
