Health officials advise residents to get flu vaccine

SAN DIEGO – According to the San Diego County Department of Health & Human Services, last season 65 San Diegans died due to complications from influenza, the highest number of flu deaths on record.

“Getting vaccinated is the single most important action people can take to protect themselves from the flu,” said authorities. “The flu vaccine is already available at doctors’ offices and retail pharmacies. People with no medical insurance can get a flu shot at a County public health center.”
