Is it a cold, the flu, or an allergy?

You might think that you can tell the difference between a cold, the flu, or a bad sore throat. Well, good for you, because I’m not always certain and I have been in medicine for over 40 years.

It just isn’t always that easy, at least in the beginning. As more symptoms come forth, and time passes, it can be easier to see what has transpired.
