Potter Students of Month honored by Fallbrook Rotary

FALLBROOK – Potter Jr. High School staff members DeCuba Porter and Danielle Duarte presented students of the month to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook at a recent weekly luncheon. Both students were recognized for being ready, being respectful, and being responsible.

Lucia Sanchez, eighth grade, was praised for “being proactive and putting first things first. She has challenged herself to take honors level classes and has maintained all A’s and B’s. She has also been selected as secretary of the Builders Club and as AVID president. Lucia embodies leadership.”

Omar Diaz, seventh grade, was recognized for “thinking ‘win-win’ by taking the initiative to reach out to a challenged special needs student who was struggling in math. Omar was successful in helping others because he was patient and thoughtful.”
