The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) approved an increase in the program budget for the Camp Pendleton area railroad double-tracking and Santa Margarita Bridge replacement.
SANDAG’s board voted 15-0 Oct. 25 with no representatives from El Cajon, Lemon Grove, National City, or Santee present to approve the additional $1.3 million. The budget will eventually need to be increased by another $1.25 million, although an insurance settlement is expected to cover that amount.
