Pala donates more than 2,000 lbs of food to needy

PALA – The team members of Pala Casino Spa & Resort donated 2,225 pounds of food on Nov. 7 to Brother Benno’s, the non-profit, volunteer organization that serves the poor and homeless in Northern San Diego County.

Pala conducted a food drive that concluded the week prior and representatives from Brother Benno’s received the food Nov. 7.

“As our team members have done for so many community projects, they really came through again to help those in need this holiday season,” said Bill Bembenek, Pala Casino Spa & Resort’s chief executive.
