FRENCH VALLEY - A man who allegedly aimed a rifle at sheriff's deputies during a domestic violence call in French Valley was shot and killed early today by a deputy, a county sheriff's department official said.
Gunshots rang out inside a home in the 32000 block of Westport Way where deputies were on their way to investigate a call made at 1:17 a.m. by a woman with two young children, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Lisa McConnell said.
The woman was telling a dispatcher what was going on when she abruptly put the phone down during the commotion, prompting a flood of 911 calls about the gunfire...
