Montiel honored as Volunteer of the Year

FALLBROOK – Dr. Brenda Montiel (1940-2013) of the Fallbrook Music Society was honored by the North County Philanthropy Council at its 2013 Volunteer of the Year Awards luncheon on Nov. 14. Montiel had been nominated for the award by Legacy Endowment Community Foundation for her outstanding contributions to the Fallbrook community through music. Her award was proudly accepted by her two sisters, Mary Montiel and Carol Kettela, who attended the ceremony.
