Hasvold second in age group at Catalina Eco Marathon

Lisa Hasvold finished second among women in her age group in the Nov. 9 Catalina Eco Marathon.

The 52-year-old Hasvold had a time of 5:12 to place second in the division for women ages 50-54. The second-place finish in her age group is the highest for Hasvold in a marathon.

“My goal was to finish. I just wanted to finish,” Hasvold said. “It just wasn’t on my radar to place.”

Approximately 360 total runners signed up for the Catalina Eco Marathon, and 262 of those finished.
