Home Invasion in Lake Elsinore; Suspects Still on the Loose

RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE - On Saturday, December 7, 2013, at approximately 2:23 A.M, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 100 block of W. Heald Street reference a home invasion robbery. Officers arrived within minutes of the dispatched call.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the homeowner answered the door to someone who he thought he knew. Then a male and female forced their way into the home with a firearm and assaulted the victim. The victim was tied up as the suspects took various items, including the victim's car keys and fled the residence.

The victim was able to free himself, and the police were eventually notified. The victim declined medical attention.
