AVID students and mentors take a trip

FALLBROOK – Several student members of AAUW’s AVID mentoring program at Fallbrook High School enjoyed a special Thanksgiving holiday trip with their mentors. On the way from Oceanside to San Diego’s Old Town, they snacked and visited with each other as they watched the scenery from the upper level of the Coaster.

It was the first time many of the girls had taken a train, visited Oceanside, or Old Town. While walking around Old Town, they shopped, toured museums, panned for gold, dipped candles, watched performances, and had a delicious lunch at one of Old Town’s famous Mexican restaurant...
