Sheriff's gang unit investigating assault incident in Fallbrook

The gang unit at the Fallbrook Sheriff's substation is conducting an investigation into an incident that occurred late Sunday night, December 22 here.

According to Detective Zach Harris, the crime involved an assault on a person in the 1600 block of South Mission Road.

The victim, Harris said, sustained serious injuries but survived the attack.

Due to the nature of the investigation, authorities will not release further information at this time. No arrests have been made at this time....
