Silvergate celebrates the season with Holiday Open House

FALLBROOK – Silvergate Retirement Residence opened its doors to the public on Dec. 12 with its annual Holiday Open House event. Silvergate invited the community to come together to celebrate the Christmas season. The popular event featured heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, live entertainment, raffle prizes and a special visit from Santa.

Guests enjoyed a delicious spread prepared by Silvergate’s executive chef Elena Hunt and her team. The hors d’oeuvres included jumbo shrimp, BBQ beef, jalapeno poppers, meatballs, fruit and veggie platters, and holiday cookies for dessert, as well as wine, beer, champagne and eggnog at the bar.

“Silvergate always hosts such great parties!” stated Silvergate Fallbrook guest Hanh DeMore. “This is such a fun idea.”

Guests had an opportunity to tour the beautifully decorated community during the Open House. A number of lucky guests also went home with raffle prizes, such as Nordstrom gift cards and Belgian chocolate gift sets, and all guests took home their first photo with Santa in years.

“Events like our Holiday Open House are always popular because they bring the local senior community together for some fun Christmas festivities,” explained Silvergate Fallbrook Administrator Dorothy Pratt. “Everyone looks forward to spending an afternoon with friends and loved ones during the Christmas season.”
