Avocado Half Marathon/5K will temporarily impact roads

FALLBROOK – The first Avocado Half Marathon and 5K will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. As a result, some local roadways will be impacted during the hours of 6 to 10 a.m. that day. The marathon route includes Gird Rd, Via Monserate, Alta Vista, Winterwarm, Winterhaven, Stagecoach between the high school and Reche Rd., and Reche Rd. to Live Oak Park. Roads will open up quickly behind runners to insure that travelers are least inconvenienced.

Residents will be able to get in and out of roads and driveways if necessary, but organizers would appreciate cooperation in supporting this community event and going alternate routes if possible.

This race is organized to greatly benefit Fallbrook by bringing the racing community to town to support local businesses.

This race is sponsored by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and benefits local charities. For more information, visit
