FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Healthcare District’s annual Community Collaborative Breakfast will take place on Saturday, January 25 at Fallbrook Library. This event is the district board of directors annual report to the community on its’ service and work on their behalf. In addition, the district acknowledges those who serve in the interest of health and well-being of the community. Highlight of the event is the announcement of the Health Care Heroes of the year.
An update will be given by the CEO of Fallbrook Hospital.
The presentation and Q & A segment by Guest speaker Dr. Gerald Kominski will make a presentation and hold a question and answer session on the Affordable Care Act and how it will impact residents of the community, healthcare service providers, physicians, employers, and the hospital. Kominski's presentation will give insight and information about what’s ahead for California. He is the director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and Professor of Health Policy and Management at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He is well-versed on the Affordable Care Act and has done numerous presentations – in person and on radio. He is co-author of over 120 articles and reports, including the widely used textbook, "Changing the U.S. Health Care System: Key Issues in Health Services Policy and Management."
There will be a light continental breakfast buffet beginning at 8:15 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m. Community residents – adults and seniors, singles and couples, parents and grandparents are urged to attend.
