A pair of 5-0 San Diego County Board of Supervisors votes Dec. 3 approved an agreement document for participating agencies in the Regional Communications System (RCS) upgrade while also appropriating $5 million for the new RCS microwave transport network.
The agreement document includes authorizing the county’s chief administrative officer to execute the amendment to the original RCS agreement with each participating agency once total system cost and each agency’s share are finalized. The microwave transport network appropriation utilizes money in the RCS trust fund.
