While I applauded the efforts of the citizenry of Fallbrook in having two American Flags installed, I am dismayed by their current condition.
The one on East Mission Road has a solar light that goes dark by midnight, even on a very sunny day. And the one at the library is obstructed by shrub growth to limit illumination.
All of the original “hoopla” and political bartering does not give us a right to ignore proper procedures and disrespect those installations.
We need a “flag plan” that works, now!
