Free program on dangers of prescription drug abuse offered Feb. 12

FALLBROOK – Teens, parents and other community members are invited to learn about a potential danger that may be lurking in their homes, during a Feb. 12 event at the Fallbrook Library.

The free program, “Prescription Drug Abuse Shatters Lives!” will start at 7 p.m. and highlight the first-hand story of an Escondido family whose lives were significantly affected by prescription drug abuse.

A federal DEA agent also will tell audience members about some of the things he saw and experienced on the job while trying to help stop illegal prescription drug sales and use.
