Overland Trail work earns Manager's Award for 7 FPUD employees

Seven Fallbrook Public Utility District employees received Manager’s Award recognition at FPUD’s Dec. 9 board meeting.

Department 4 foreman Steve Stone, utility worker Jon Bergholz, utility technician Josh Couveau, utility worker Chris Miller, utility technician Donald Parker, utility worker Tobias Stoneburner, and utility worker Austin Wendt received their awards for their activity while replacing a force main on Overland Trail. Each Manager’s Award recipient received a letter from FPUD general manager Brian Brady, a certificate, and a $25 check.

“There was a major line break and it took several days to go through the process,” Brady said.

The repair process took place in front of the home of one of FPUD’s ratepayers. “She wrote us a very nice letter praising the work crew,” Brady said.

The ratepayer commended the crew for being nice, for cleaning up the area, and for making the work an “overall good experience” for the resident. Although she expected the work in front of her house to be a “big pain” for her, she found the crew to be considerate and told FPUD that the district should be proud of them.

Brady noted that the crew demonstrated professionalism and helped to build a positive relationship between FPUD and the district’s customers. “We always enjoy getting these kind of letters,” he said. “It’s especially gratifying to get a letter from a ratepayer on how well our field crew performs.”
