The third game of the season between the San Diego Sockers and the Ontario Fury ended as a 6-5 Sockers victory Jan. 19, which was the Sockers’ closest margin of victory in those three competitions. The game was also the first in which Fury forward Mikel Palmerin scored a goal against former Fallbrook High School teammate Chris Toth, who is now the Sockers’ starting goalie.
The Sockers took a 6-3 lead into the fourth period of the game at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario before the Fury scored the only two goals in the final quarter.
