Potter Jr. High girls inspired by UCSD Latina college students

FALLBROOK – On Feb. 8, a group of 55 seventh and eighth grade girls from Potter Junior High School visited the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) to attend the 12th Annual Latina Youth Conference.

For many of the students, it was their first time visiting a college campus. Students were given a tour of the university and attended three different workshops to learn about the importance of college and the various career paths within the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields (STEM).
