TRAFFIC ALERT: State Route 76 closed from Old Highway 395 to Gird Rd. due to apparently fatal accident

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has issued a Sig Alert due to the need to close State Route 76 in both directions at Gird Road following an accident.

Emergency calls were received about 6:55 a.m. indicating three cars had been involved in a collision and one person may have been killed.
