Accidental Shooting Involving Five-Year-Old

NUEVO - Details were still being sorted out today regarding the death of a 5-year-old boy who apparently shot himself after getting hold of a pistol at a Nuevo residence, in what authorities believe was a tragic accident.

''As far as how he got shot, the investigators are (trying) to confirm how it occurred,'' said Deputy Albert Martinez, a Riverside County sheriff's spokesman. ''There are no outstanding suspects, and this appears to be accidental.''
