Jurupa Valley: Woman arrested for animal cruelty relating to cockfighting operation

JURUPA VALLEY - A Jurupa Valley woman was arrested in connection with operating a cockfighting operation at her home, a sheriff's sergeant said Sun., March 16.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, March 15, to the 5200 block of El Rivino Road where they detained about 50 people who had allegedly gathered to bet and watch the illegal cockfighting matches, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Ray Ricken said.
