Oceanside: Motorcyclist dies in two-vehicle crash

A motorcyclist was killed today in a two-vehicle crash on a freeway transition road in Oceanside.

The rider hit a guard rail on the left side of the connector from northbound Interstate 5 to eastbound state Route 78, according to the California Highway Patrol. He went down and a second vehicle was involved, but no details were released.

No other person was injured, a North County fire dispatcher said.

One of the two lanes on the transition road was shut down, according to the CHP.
