WINCHESTER - An 11-year-old boy was bitten on the mouth by a pit bull today in Winchester, according to a news report.
The Riverside County Department of Animal Services reported that the apparently unprovoked attack happened at 4 p.m. at a house on Stuber Street, where the victim was playing with friends, according to the Riverside Press- Enterprise.
The boy suffered a severe injury to his lower lip despite attempts to fend the dog off with a pool cue, the newspaper reported.
