Daughters of Norway to learn about spinning wool

FALLBROOK – Laurel Beale is coming to the next meeting of the Daughters of Norway to demonstrate spinning sheep wool and other fiber. She has been spinning her own wool for 15 years. Beale is bringing her portable spinning wheel and will offer those in attendance a chance to try out spinning. She has also been knitting for about 50 years and will be bringing articles that she has woven and knit.

The Daughters of Norway, Hulda Garborg Lodge #49, will hold their next meeting on Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. Following the program, there will be a potluck lunch at noon and a business meeting at 12:45 p.m.

All women of Scandinavian heritage are welcome to attend the Daughters of Norway meetings at the Rainbow Valley Grange hall, 2160 Rainbow Valley Blvd.
