Over 300 Fallbrook children and teens will have to return to school next fall without the backpacks and school supplies they need for academic success. To assist their families, all of whom are registered with the Fallbrook Food Pantry, a Back-to-School Backpack Project was launched last year by St. John’s Episcopal Church to provide new backpacks filled with ring binders, paper, dictionaries, calculators, pens, pencils, and an age-appropriate book for 30 students.
This year we want to expand the program to supply backpacks for all of those 300 students, so we’re inviting other churches and service organizations to join us in this important and worthwhile project.
Please email me at [email protected] if we can come to your next meeting and make a presentation.
