Free workshop May 14 on how to finance a college degree

FALLBROOK – Middle school and high school families are often shocked when they get closer to the college years and see what one year of college costs. For example, the cost of tuition, fees, books, room, and board – for one year – for a freshman living on campus at San Diego State University is over $26,000. Likewise, a year at University of San Diego is over $54,000. To make matters worse, some colleges are now averaging over six years for a bachelor degree.
