Officials on Camp Pendleton have reported that the 15,000 acre Las Pulgas Fire has now been 75% contained.

Camp Pendleton authorities have said that the Las Pulgas fire first reported at 3:15 p.m. Thursday has burned 15,000 acres and is now at 55% contained.

Las Pulgas Fire continues at 15,000 acres, still 40 percent contained

Camp Pendleton officials have just reported that the Las Pulgas fire is still at 15,000 acres with 40% containment.

The Las Pulgas Fire has grown to 15,000 acres burned and 40% containment.

New Talega Fire on Camp Pendleton burning - causing evacuation of 62 Area, San Onofre housing area, School of Infantry

According to an update this morning from Camp Pendleton, the Las Pulgas fire, which was first reported at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, May 15 has now grown to 8,000 acres and is 5 percent contained.

Evacuation orders for Camp Las Pulgas, Camp Margarita, Camp Las Flores and 32 Area remain in effect.

Officials say that the Las Pulgas gate remains closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles. Stuart Mesa Road north of Assault Craft Unit-5 remains closed.

Basilone Road from Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton to Camp Horno, as well as Las Pulgas Road remain closed.

Ammunition Road aboard Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook also remains closed.

The cause of the Las Pulgas Fire is under investigation.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - The Las Pulgas fire first reported at 3:15 p.m. Thursday has grown to 8,000 acres burned and 5% contained.

Evacuation orders for Camp Las Pulgas, Camp Margarita, Camp Las Flores and 32 Area remain in effect.

The Las Pulgas gate remains closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles. Stuart Mesa Road north of Assault Craft Unit-5 remains closed.

Las Pulgas Fire now 600 acres, moving south, zero containment, over 300 personnel evacuated

The fire that was reported in the Las Pulgas area of Camp Pendleton at 3:15 p.m. has grown to 600 acres and is moving south at a moderate rate of speed with 0% containment. Due to the fire, both Camp Las Pulgas and Camp Margarita were ordered to evacuate at 4:30 p.m.

309 Las Pulgas personnel were evacuated north to the School of Infantry, while 62 Margarita personnel were moved south to Camp Del Mar. Those evacuations remain in effect overnight.

Camp Pendleton has reported that the fire in its Las Pulgas area has grown to 500 acres and is moving south at a moderate rate of spread. Due to the fire, both Camp Las Pulgas and Camp Margarita have been ordered to evacuate.

Las Pulgas military personnel are asked move north to the School of Infantry parade deck behind the mess hall. Margarita personnel are instructed to move south to the I MEF parade deck behind Devil Doc Hall.

Base authorities are reporting that a new fire has stared on Camp Pendleton in the Las Pulgas area, near the sewage plant, Building 43103.

Las Pulgas Area personnel have been ordered to evacuate to the School of Infantry Parade deck behind the mess hall, building 520430.

The fire has burned 25 acres.

In addition, Camp Pendleton has been providing military air assets requested by Cal Fire to help with the San Marcos fire.
