Cocos Fire now 70% contained; full containment expected on Sunday

Authorities with Cal Fire have announced that the Cocos Fire is now 70% contained and full containment is expected sometime Sunday.

Cocos Fire now 50% contained at 2,520 acres

CAL FIRE is reporting that the Cocos Fire is now 50 percent contained. The total acreage now stands at 2,520, with 1,500 structures threatened. Eight single family dwellings have been destroyed.
