**San Mateo Fire now 97% contained; remains 1,500 acres

Authorities on Camp Pendleton have announced that the San Mateo Fire is now 97% contained at 1,500 acres.

Marine Corps authorities have just reported that the San Mateo Fire is now 80% contained.

According to officials on Camp Pendleton, the San Mateo Fire that was reported at 11:24 a.m. Friday has now burned 1,500 acres and is currently listed as 55% contained.
