Potter Junior High School's Positive Behavioral Incentives and Supports improve school climate

On Friday, May 23, Potter Junior High School held its Positive Behavioral Incentive and Support (PBIS) program finale including an end of trimester reward party and Potter PRIDE Time. Through the first two trimesters of the year, Potter, the only comprehensive junior high school in the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District has experienced a 54 percent decline in suspensions, a 38 percent decline in afterschool detentions, a 46 percent decline in lunch detentions, and a 21 percent reduction in the total number of discipline referrals.
