MURRIETA - A mother and child were struck -- but not hurt -- by a slow-moving SUV outside a Murrieta school today when they attempted to cross the street without using a designated crosswalk, authorities said.
The woman and youth, who is a seventh-grader at Shivela Middle School, were going east to west in the 24500 block of Lincoln Avenue when the accident happened about 8:50 a.m., according to Murrieta police Sgt. Jay Froboese.
