FALLBROOK – In keeping with their goal of partnering with those in the greater Fallbrook community, St. John’s Episcopal Church Thrift Shop recently gave $1,600 to the Fallbrook Community Center in order to provide a week of summer camp to 16 children who might otherwise not be able to attend due to the cost of the program.
The camp program offers a high quality program of sports, games, educational activities, field trips and summer fun for boys and girls ages 6 to 12. The children this money will help might be left home alone to watch television or play video games while their parents work, if not for the opportunity this donation provides.
St. John’s Thrift Shop, located at 1075 S. Mission Road, is the oldest continuously operating thrift shop in Fallbrook. The shop is always looking for people who would like to volunteer their time to serve the community.
